- A new home built on a Whidbey Island bluff, overlooking the shipping lanes of Admiralty Inlet in the Puget Sound.
- The gambrel roof design was inspired by the neighboring barns and farmhouse structures.
- The house, garage and covered walkway between the two were arranged on the site to take advantage of the Sound views and provide framed spaces for rhododendron and dahlia gardens.
